![]() ![]() Eddie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and friend. 9699, member of American Legion, Rotary Club, member of and contributor to Ashland Logging Museum, and was a third degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 2889 of Ashland. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Leblanc-Junkins Post No. He served on Ashland Town Council, and was a member of the board of directors of the Washburn Trust Co. Eddie was an active and respected member of his community. As a couple, Eddie and Geneva operated the family lumber business for more than 40 years. After his marriage, Eddie was employed by Forrest Page, a local farmer and businessman who was instrumental in serving as a mentor and supporter in the founding of his business, Morin and Morin Lumber, Inc. They enjoyed 62 years of married life together in Ashland. Returning to Maine after an honorable discharge, he married Geneva Garrity, in 1947, at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Portage. In 1943, he was inducted into the Armed Forces serving in the Third Army of the European Theater of World War II under the command of Gen. He began his lifelong vocation as a boy of 13 working alongside his father in the Maine woods.
